| 1 | medium green pepper, thinly sliced | ||

| 1 | medium onion, thinly sliced | ||

|
|||
| 1 | can | (15 oz.) Italian style diced tomatoes | |
|
|
|||
| 1 | cup | chicken broth | |
|
|
|||
| 5 | tablespoons | tomato paste | |
|
|
|||
| 4 | teaspoons | granulated sugar | |
|
|
|||
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons | dried basil | |
|
|
|||
| 1/4 | teaspoon | garlic powder | |
|
|
|||
| 1 | box | (16 oz.) linguine | |
|
|
|||
Heat oil in large skillet to medium hot. Add sausage, peppers, onion; cook until sausage is no longer pink; drain.
Add the tomatoes, broth, tomato paste, sugar, basil and garlic powder; heat through.
While sauce is simmering, cook linguine as directed on package. Drain and serve topped with meat sauce.
