Fried Wheatena
Yield: Makes 9 1-inch slices
Ingredients
| 1 | cup | Wheatena | |

| 3 1/2 | cups | water | |
|
|
|||
| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
|
|
|||
Directions:
Combine Wheatena, water and salt in large saucepan. Bring to rolling boil. Cook 5 minutes or until thick. Remove from heat; cool about 5 minutes. Pour into 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Cover; chill until firm. Unmold; cut into 1-inch slices. Saute, turning to brown on both sides. Serve hot with brown sugar or maple syrup.
Note: Left-over Wheatena may also be used this way. Recipe compliments of Wheatena.
